I tend to load of the scene really heavy with objects - so take it from someone who's intentionally known he was making a mistake doing so, and going through with it (and now fixing it some!). Overuse of Visible collision objects can drag down the FPS in a hurry, and also, same for mesh road objects (not decal roads). It's better for the game FPS on the CPU-side of things if they have collision. dae usually named 'COLMESH' so that the physics engine can run more models, VS a few complicated models + visible collision only.
